SUBJECT:
Title
CONVEYANCE OF AN EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF CARSON FOR A PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER LINE ON THE FORMER CAL COMPACT LANDFILL SITE

Body
I. SUMMARY

The District at South Bay Development Project has an existing public utility corridor easement, dedicated to the City of Carson per Parcel Map No. 70372, within the 80 foot wide original haul route, also referred to as 'Old Stamps'. The original haul route is approximately 2000 feet long and connects Lenardo Drive (Stadium Way) at two points. Within the existing 80-foot-wide public utility corridor, the development project has installed a new public sewer main to be owned by the City of Carson and maintained through LA County Public Works. The City of Carson is requesting that the Carson Reclamation Authority grant a separate, 10 foot wide easement, for public sanitary sewer main maintenance purposes. A separate sanitary sewer easement is common practice for City of Carson and is a requirement by LA County Public Works in order to annex the Sanitary Sewer Main into LA County Sanitation District. It is requested that the Carson Reclamation Authority grant the proposed 10 foot wide Sanitary Sewer Easement to the City of Carson.
The acceptance of this 10 foot wide easement dedication by the City of Carson will be administratively processed, as is the practice per order of the City Council on October 14, 1968, by the City Clerk's Office.
