CONSIDER ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 22-113 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES GRANTS (STATE - SB 1) RESTRICTED GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) AND THE CITY OF CARSON FOR THE CARSON ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM AND CONNECTIVITY PLAN GRANT PROJECT" (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
The California Department of Transportation conditionally awarded the City of Carson with $358,000 of grant funding under the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program to complete the Carson Active Transportation and Community Connectivity Plan (CAT-CP). As part of the conditional grant award, Caltrans set conditions for the City of Carson to meet, including the adoption of a resolution that approves the terms of the Sustainable Communities Grants (State SB-1) Restricted Grant Agreement for the Carson Active Transportation and Connectivity Plan Grant Project and authorizes the City Manager to complete and execute the agreement with the California Department of Transportation.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following action:
1. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 22-113 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES GRANTS (STATE - SB 1) RESTRICTED GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) AND THE CITY OF CARSON FOR THE CARSON ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM AND CONNECTIVITY PLAN GRANT PROJECT".
2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to sign the Resolution after approval as to form by the City Attorney.

III. ALTERNATIVES
1. DO NOT ADOPT the Resolution. However, this will deny City's request for reimbursement in the future.
2. TAKE another action the City Council deemed appropriate consistent with the requirements of the law.
