CONSIDERATION OF LOCAL APPOINTMENTS TO THE CITY'S COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES AND BOARDS; AND/OR CITY COUNCIL SUB-COMMITTEES; AND/OR CITY-AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS BY MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL (CITY COUNCIL)

Summary:
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Davis-Holmes to consider appointments and/or removals of commissioners, committee and board members in accordance with the City Charter, Article VI; and/or Council member assignments and/or removals to the City Council Sub-Committees (SC); and/or City-Affiliated Organizations by Mayor and City Council.
At the January 26, 2021 City Council Regular Meeting, Mayor Davis-Holmes established an ad hoc committee to consider consolidating the commissions, committees and boards (Exhibit No. 1). She appointed herself and Mayor Pro Tem Dear who accepted the assignment and noted the ad hoc committee will bring back report regarding consolidations at the February 16, 2021 City Council meeting. She requested the City Council to submit names for consideration to the commissions, committees and boards after consolidations.
In addition, Mayor Davis-Holmes vacated and designated member assignments to the City Council Sub-Committees (Exhibit No. 1) which were ratified by the City Council. Also, she vacated and designated delegates and alternates to the City-Affiliated Organizations (Exhibit No. 1) which were also ratified by the City Council. She requested recommendations from the City Council for consideration at the February 16, 2021 City Council meeting.
She requested to add "Community Center" to the City Hall Renovation Ad Hoc Committee and assigned herself and Council Member Hilton to the City Hall/Community Center Renovation Ad Hoc Committee.
Also, she dissolved the Carson Sheriff Station Captain Interviews Ad Hoc Committee.
