UPDATE ON CARSON RECLAMATION AUTHORITY CONTRACTING AND STAFFING PLAN

I.                     SUMMARY

At its March 20, 2023 Special Meeting, the CRA Board asked staff for an update on its staffing and/or contracting plan to replace the services of RE|Solutions, LLC, who is winding down their contract with an expected end date of June 15, 2023, unless amended.

The attached organization chart (Exhibit 1) is the basis of the discussion on where negotiations are for the procurement of these services.

II.                     RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

1.                     CONSIDER CRA Contracting and Staffing Plan and provide direction to staff.

Take another action the Board deems appropriate.

IV.                     BACKGROUND

None.  The previous staff report from January 3 describing most of this plan is attached as Exhibit 2 and the staff report recommending the creation of the first two positions, Typist Clerk II and Administrative Analyst, is Exhibit 3.

V.                     FISCAL IMPACT

To be determined based on the level of staff and reimbursement agreements negotiated with developers.
