I. SUMMARY
**This item provides the City Council an opportunity to set a reward of $100,000 for information leading to the safe return of Alinka Angeline Castaneda and the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her disappearance if criminal activity or foul play is determined**
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
APPROVE the establishment of a $100,000 reward.

IV. BACKGROUND
16-year-old Carson resident Alinka Angeline Castaneda has been missing since January 1, 2023. She was last seen getting into an unknown vehicle.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
The fiscal impact would be $100,000 should the award be paid out.
