PARKS, RECREATION, AND CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER MEETINGS

I. SUMMARY
Per the Municipal Code, the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Commission meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month. In 2022, Thanksgiving falls on its regularly scheduled meeting date, and the Commission has historically gone dark in December in deference to the holidays. Given these circumstances, the Commission is asked to consider if it wishes to cancel its November and December meetings, and resume in January. II. RECOMMENDATION

The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Commission is regularly scheduled to meet the last Thursday of the month. With the holidays quickly approaching, staff is requesting the Commission’s direction regarding canceling its November meeting as it falls on Thanksgiving, and in December as it typically goes dark that month.
