CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 22-017 APPROVING THE CITY OF CARSON'S APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND CARRIAGE CREST PARK PROJECT AND RESOLUTION NO. 22-018 APPROVING THE CITY OF CARSON'S APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND FOISIA PARK PROJECT (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
The Congress under Public Law 88-578 has authorized the establishment of a federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant-In-Aid program, providing Matching funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and developing Facilities for public outdoor purposes.
The California Department of Parks and Recreation, Office of Grants and Local Services (OGALS) is responsible for administration of the program in the State, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing Applications by local agencies under the program.
Staff is requesting that the City Council certifies by resolution 22-017 and 22-018 the approval of the applications for Carriage Crest Park and Foisia Park and the availability of eligible Matching funds prior to submission of the Applications to the State.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
1. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 22-017, "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND CARRIAGE CREST PARK PROJECT."
2. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 22-018, "RESOLUTION OF CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND FOISIA PARK PROJECT."
