I. SUMMARY

On June 19, 2018, the City Council approved a three-year contract service agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc., effective July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2021, to provide lighting controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) computer maintenance services at City Hall and the Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center. The contract provided the option for the City to extend it for an additional year based on the quality of services provided. Staff is recommending exercising the option of extending contract services from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
Due to the proprietary software and equipment used to maintain the City's HVAC system, Siemens is the only company that is able to provide services on the existing equipment.
