CONSIDER MONTHLY INVESTMENT AND CASH REPORT FOR THE CITY OF CARSON,  CARSON HOUSING AUTHORITY, CARSON SUCCESSOR AGENCY-MONTH ENDING  JANUARY 31, 2021

 

Body

I.                     SUMMARY

Submitted to the Mayor and City Council is the monthly Investment and Cash Report for the City of Carson, former Successor Agency and Carson Housing Authority for the month ending January 31, 2021.   Following are the total reserves and cash on hand for the City of Carson and each Carson entity:

 

City of Carson reserves (Invested assets):                     $61,112,031.46

City of Carson available cash:                                          $21,344,727.16

Total City of Carson reserves and available cash:  $82,456,758.62

 

 

Restricted funds for the city of Carson include cash on hand and reserves for the Successor Agency, Housing Authority and Co-Op Agreement:

 

Total City of Carson restricted funds:                     $22,736,640.04

IV.                     BACKGROUND

The monthly Investment and Cash Report is submitted to the Mayor and City Council to ensure the legislative body is kept abreast of reserves and available cash for each Carson entity.  The report includes the reserves for the City of Carson, former Successor Agency and the Housing Authority.  

The investment program herein provides sufficient liquidity to meet six months of estimated expenditures.  All investments are in compliance with California state code 503600, City of Carson Investment Policy and all applicable bond indentures.
