CONSIDER DIRECTING STAFF TO PROVIDE THE CITY COUNCIL WITH A COMPREHENSIVE REPORT OF ALL TRIPS TAKEN BY CITY COUNCILMEMBERS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS AND THE CITY EXPENDITURES RELATED TO SAME (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Robles. At the last regular meeting of the City Council, Councilmember Davis-Holmes requested City staff to provide the City Council with a comprehensive report of all trips taken by members of the City Council in the last year, including the City expenditures related to same.
Mayor Robles now wishes the Council to consider expanding the timeframe of that request to 10 years, thereby directing staff to provide the City Council with a comprehensive report of all trips taken by City Councilmembers (i.e. persons who were members of the City Council at the time of the trip) over the last 10 years, and the City expenditures related to same. “City expenditures,” for purposes of this request, means all payments made and/or reimbursed by the City, including all meal per diems.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
1. Direct City staff to prepare and provide the City Council, at the earliest opportunity, with a comprehensive report of all trips taken by City Councilmembers in the last 10 years, and all City expenditures related to same.
