SUBJECT:
Title
CONSIDER APPOINTMENTS TO THE CITY'S COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES AND BOARDS BY MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL (CITY COUNCIL)

Body
I. SUMMARY

Summary:
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Robles to consider appointments and/or removals of commissioners, committee and board members in accordance with the City Charter, Article VI.
On February 7, 2019, City Council adopted resolutions 19-026, 19-027, 19,028 and 19-029 reducing the Carson Historical Committee, the Community Civic Engagement Board and Measure C Budget Oversight Committee member composition from eleven members to five members; and the General Plan Advisory Committee from eighteen members to seven members, thereby eliminating commissioners membership through attrition.
On February 21, 2019, Mayor Robles, in his capacity as the presiding officer of the City, advised members of their removal (by letter); conforming to the immediate reduction of membership composition, in an effort to avoid confusion at the next meeting of these committees.
