I. SUMMARY
During the June 4, 2019 Council meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Cedric Hicks, Councilmember Lula Davis-Holmes and Councilmember Jim Dear called for a special meeting on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following actions:
1. PROVIDE direction for each budget policy question, which will be used to build the draft budget
2. APPROVE budget
3. TAKE whatever action the City Council deems appropriate.

TAKE another action deemed appropriate by City Council.
IV. BACKGROUND
When adopting the final annual general fund budget, it must occur as a public hearing and the hearing must be noticed in the newspaper. The public hearing for the adoption of FY 2019/20 has been publically noticed in the Daily Breeze newspaper to be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019. Therefore the adoption of the final budget cannot occur until then. Staff is prepared to accept further direction from the City Council on the proposed budget.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no immediate fiscal impact. City Council direction will be used to prepare the draft Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget.
