ANNUAL REPORT - REGISTERED LOBBYISTS (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
This item is on the agenda pursuant to Chapter 3.5 (Lobbyist Registration) ? 2357 (Duties of the City Clerk) of the Carson Municipal Code. In May of each year, City Clerk shall file an annual report with the City Council, compiling information filed by lobbyists who registered or reregistered with the City by April 2, 2019.

IV. BACKGROUND
Pursuant to Carson Municipal Code (CMC) ? 2357, "Duties of the City Clerk", states in part, "In May of each year, the City Clerk shall file an annual report with the City Council, compiling the information filed by lobbyists who reregister before April 1st of each year." This year April 1st fell on Sunday, so the deadline laid over until the next business day, which was April 2, 2019.
