EXPENDITURES, REVENUES AND DONATIONS REPORT FOR CESAR CHAVEZ, CINCO DE MAYO, AND JUNETEENTH EVENTS (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
At its April 2, 2019, meeting, City Councilwoman Davis-Holmes and Mayor Pro Tem Hicks requested an expenditures, revenues and donations summary for the Cesar Chavez, Cinco de Mayo and Juneteenth special events.

IV. BACKGROUND
While some special events receive some cash donations from outside sources, most special events in Carson are supported primarily from two sources: City funds and contributions from the Carson Community Foundation (CCF). At its most recent meeting, members of the City Council requested a summary of the expenditures, revenues and donations received for the Cesar Chavez, Cinco de Mayo and Juneteenth special events. The report with information for those three events as of April 3, 2019, is attached as Exhibit No. 1. A copy of the receipt detailing CCF’s contributions to select City special events is shown in Exhibit No. 2.
