CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE SIXTH AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TCM GROUP INC., A HILL INTERNATIONAL COMPANY, TO EXPAND THE SCOPE OF SERVICES TO INCLUDE PROVIDING AN INTERIM CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR A PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
Currently only two staff members, one Construction Inspector and one Construction Inspector Supervisor, handle all construction inspections within the public right-of-way. Considering the volume of construction activity in the City, it is unrealistic for current staff to adequately accommodate the demand. A sixth amendment to the current agreement with TCM Group Inc. is requested to augment staff by providing a temporary Construction Inspector for the Construction Inspection Services Division of the Public Works Department. This contract would be in place for three months in order to allow time for the completion of position modifications and a successful recruitment.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following actions:
1. APPROVE the Sixth Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with TCM Group, Inc., a Hill International Company, to provide staff augmentation to the Construction Inspection Division of the Public Works Department for the term of three months, in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00.
2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the Sixth Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with TCM Group, Inc., a Hill International Company, following approval as to form by the City Attorney.

1. DO NOT APPROVE the Sixth Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with TCM Group, Inc., a Hill International Company.
2. TAKE another action the City Council deems appropriate and consistent with the requirements of the law.
