IV.                     BACKGROUND

The City and CTI Environmental, Inc., entered into a contract agreement on June 21, 2016 whereby Consultant agreed to provide air monitoring and sampling services for a contract sum of $7,000.

On February 20, 2017, the City and CTI Environmental, Inc. entered into Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement (Exhibit 2) to increase the contract amount from $7,000 to $10,659 and add field services, air testing and additional sampling services.

On January 1, 2018, the City and CTI Environmental, Inc., entered Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement (Exhibit 3) to increase the contract amount from $10,659 to $24,999, extend the Term of the Agreement by one year, and add additional sampling and services to support regulatory compliance (Exhibit 3).

It is now necessary to execute a third amendment with CTI Environment, Inc., in order to extend the term by an additional year.  This extension would increase the contract amount to provide inspection services, samplings and required safety and training services to remain in compliance.  Amendment No. 3 (Exhibit 4) will amend the Agreement to increase the contract amount from $24,999 to $50,000, and to extend the Term of the Agreement by an additional year.

V.                     FISCAL IMPACT

Funds for these services were included in the FY 2017/18 and FY 2018/19 budgets.
