SUBJECT:
Title
CONSIDER APPROVING A REIMBURSEMENT TO MV TRANSPORTATION, INC. FOR THE COST OF FABRICATING AND INSTALLING WRAPS ON CARSON CIRCUIT BUSES (CITY COUNCIL)

Body
I. SUMMARY

As part of the City's contract with its current Carson Circuit operator, MV Transportation (MV), buses were purchased to meet the needs of the service. Upon delivery, City Council noted that the exterior of the buses were plain and an enhancement would help to identify them as Carson buses. It was agreed that the best solution would be to utilize a bus wrap. MV agreed to handle the fabrication and installation of the wraps on the seven buses it operated, and the City would reimburse the company for this expense. The wraps were installed and the City is now required to compensate MV. Tonight, the City Council is asked to approve a payment in the amount of $36,754.25 to MV Transportation. This is a non-General Fund expense and will be charged to the Proposition A and Proposition C accounts.

II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation

AUTHORIZE a reimbursement of $36,754.25 to MV Transportation, Inc. for the fabrication and installation of bus wraps onto seven (7) Carson Circuit buses.
