IV.                     BACKGROUND

Since May 2015, the CRA Board has taken a number of actions to move forward the remediation of the former Cal-Compact Landfill project and to create systems that allow the review and approval of the work undertaken by the remediation contractors, and other contractors, vendors and consultants, and the payment of the cost of such services, in a fair and transparent manner. This action effects the approval of verified claims as listed in the attached Resolution No. 18-07-CRJPA.

As required under California Government Code §37202, a certification as to the accuracy of the claims and demands, and the availability of funds for payment of the same is included in the Resolution.

V.                     FISCAL IMPACT

The total expenditures for this period are $1,996,875.87 which were paid with cash and bond funds of the Carson Reclamation Authority.
