Title
CONSIDER APPOINTMENTS TO THE CITY COUNCIL'S COMMISSION, COMMITTEES AND BOARDS BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL (CITY COUNCIL).

I. SUMMARY
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Robles to consider appointments and/or removals of commissioners, committee and board members in accordance with the Carson Municipal Code (CMC).
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
1. RATIFY Mayor Robles’s appointments and/or removals to various Commissions, Committees and Boards.
2. DIRECT the City Clerk to notify all affected appointments, reappointments or removed members of this action; and
3. IF APPLICABLE, DIRECT the City Clerk to post and publish in accordance with the Maddy Act.

TAKE another action the City Council deem appropriate.
IV. BACKGROUND
Invitations to submit a CCB appointment application for all interested person(s) were posted in accordance to the Maddy Act. Application for those individuals requesting appointments were previously provided under separate cover to the Mayor and City Council.
The Carson Municipal Code requires that all members of Commissions, Committees and Boards shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of a majority of the entire City Council present, including the Mayor.
