CONSIDERATION OF CITY-AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS BY MAYOR ROBLES (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Robles. The purpose of this report is for Mayor Robles with the concurrence of the City Council to consider Council assignments to any City-Affiliated Organization.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
REAFFIRM, RE-DESIGNATE and/or DESIGNATE delegates and alternates to the City-Affiliated Organizations listed on Exhibit No. 1.

TAKE another action the Mayor and City Council deem appropriate.
IV. BACKGROUND
On June 6, 2017 Mayor Robles nominated and appointed Council member Hicks as the Delegate to the Gateway Cities Council of Governments. Additionally, Council member Hicks was nominated and appointed as the 2nd Alternate and Council member Hilton was reaffirmed as the primary Alternate for the National League of Cities. These actions were ratified by the City Council.
The Mayor, with the concurrence of City Council, can designate delegates and alternates to the various City-Affiliated Organizations at a regular meeting following the annual reorganization of the City Council and/or following any municipal election.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for membership dues and attendance at the annual conferences and regular meetings of each of the City-Affiliated Organizations are provided in the City Council Budget.
