CONSIDER THE CITY COUNCIL, SUCCESSOR AGENCY AND HOUSING AUTHORITY NOVEMBER 15, 2016 MEETING SCHEDULE

I. SUMMARY
This item is presented to the City Council to consider changing the meeting schedule for the November 15, 2016, City Council meeting due to the grand opening of the Porsche Experience Center located in Carson.
This Porsche Experience Center is one of only four others in the world. It is a 53-acre facility and road handling course. The other Centers are in Atlanta; Silverstone, England; and Leipzig, Germany. Another is being built near Beijing for the Chinese market. The Carson Center in Carson is the largest of all the Centers all over the world.
At the Porsche Experience Center the learning is hands-on and fast-paced. Visitors can select a program of their choice and spend 90 minutes behind the wheel of a Porsche with a highly-trained Porsche driving coach. The center is also designed to supplement the dealership experience, particularly in Los Angeles, where performance test-driving situations are difficult. Dealers are expected to send customers to the center for test drives.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
CONSIDER the meeting schedule for the month of November and PROVIDE direction.

III. ALTERNATIVES
1. ADJOURN the November 1, 2016, regular meeting for the City Council, Housing Authority, and Successor Agency to Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. for the closed session agenda and 6:00 p.m. for the business agenda.
2. CANCEL the November 15, 2016 meeting.
3. CONTINUE with the regular meeting scheduled the third Tuesday of the month, November 15, 2016.
