CONSIDER AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF WAREHOUSE SURPLUS INVENTORY (CITY COUNCIL)
Body
I. SUMMARY
The Public Works Warehouse Division has identified a number of items as non-working and/or out of specification, and requests approval to dispose of the surplus inventory in accordance with SMP 5.2 Surplus Property Disposal Other Than Real Property.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
APPROVE the disposal of surplus that has exceeded its useful life.

TAKE another action the City Council deems appropriate.
IV. BACKGROUND
The City has supplies and several pieces of equipment that are considered surplus. These items are no longer being used and have no purpose for continued ownership. Periodically, the City has held auctions to dispose of equipment and/or supplies that were obsolete, non-working, and/or out of specification.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
All revenue collected from the sale of surplus inventory will be properly documented, receipted, and transmitted to the City Treasurer.
