CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 16-103 REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE VARIOUS DONATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND (CITY COUNCIL)

Body
I. SUMMARY

For the months of April through June 2016, donations were received from various sources in support of certain one-time and/or ongoing programs of the City. Staff is requesting that the City Council accept the donations and appropriate the funds to the City programs listed in the attached Summary of Donation Accounts from April 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016 (Exhibit Nos. 1-3).

II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation

TAKE the following actions:
1. ACCEPT the donations received from April through June 2016 in the amount of $2,535.00.
2. ADOPT Resolution No. 16-103, amending the FY 2015/16 revenue and expenditure budget in the General Fund.

TAKE another action that the City Council deems appropriate.

IV. BACKGROUND

Various groups and individuals have been giving donations in support of certain one-time and/or ongoing programs of the City. According to Standard Management Procedure (SMP) No. 10.4, monies donated to the City shall be temporarily placed in the General Fund and then upon acceptance by the City Council, be permanently assigned to the General Fund. A copy of the SMP is attached to this report as Exhibit No. 4.
The City received donations totaling $2,535.00 for the months of April through June 2016 and wishes to thank the donors who donated them for the events listed below:

V. FISCAL IMPACT
