CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-041 APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT NO. A523 TO THE ADMINISTERING AGENCY-STATE MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 07-5403S21 FOR STATE FUNDED PROJECTS FOR PROJECT NO. 1534 [FEDERAL NO. ATPL-5403(032)]: CITY-WIDE COMMUNITY SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
Project No. 1534 - Citywide Community Safety Improvements was listed in the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The City of Carson was awarded a grant for Project No. 1534 - Citywide Community Safety Improvements and has been authorized by the State to proceed with the project. The funding for this project is provided by the Active Transportation Program (ATP) State fund. According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), adoption of a resolution by the City Council authorizing the execution of the Program Supplement Agreement to the Administering Agency-State Master Agreement No. 07-5403S21 between the State and the City is required (Exhibit No. 1).
Program Supplement Agreement No. A523 obligates up to $30,000 in ATP State funds for the Project Approval & Environmental Document (PA&ED) phase of the City-Wide Community Safety Improvements project, with no local match required (Exhibit No. 2).
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 24-041, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. A523 TO ADMINISTERING AGENCY-STATE AGREEMENT FOR STATE-FUNDED PROJECTS NO. 07-5403S21 FOR THE PROJECT APPROVAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT PHASE OF FEDERAL PROJECT NO.
