CONSIDER APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AN AGREEMENT WITH HDL COREN & CONE TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL AUDIT AND ANALYSIS OF CITY PROPERTY TAX (CITY COUNCIL).

I. SUMMARY
On May 18, 2021, HdL Coren & Cone was awarded a 3-year contract services agreement for the analysis and audit of the City's Property Tax revenues with two one-year extension options, for a base amount of $50,459.00 plus 25% of net property tax revenues recovered for the City in the audits performed over the period of time allowable by State statute. The recovery fees are not to exceed $10,000.00. Staff is requesting approval of Amendment No. 1 (Exhibit 1) to extend the contract term by one (1) year and increase the contract sum by $17,840.00, thereby bringing the adjusted contract sum to $68,299.00.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following actions:
1. APPROVE Amendment No. 1 Agreement for contract services by and between the City of Carson and HDL Coren & Cone for professional audit and analysis of City's property tax revenues.

IV. BACKGROUND

The recovery fees are not to exceed $10,000.00. Staff is requesting that City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to extend the contract term by one (1) year and increase the contract sum by $17,840.00, thereby bringing the adjusted contract sum to $68,299.00. This increase will not alter the not to exceed $10,000.00 amount of 25% of net property tax revenues recovered by Consultant.
