CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 21-176 IN HONOR OF THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF DR. JOSE P. RIZAL (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
Dr. Jose P. Rizal was a Filipino nationalist during the end of the Spanish Colonial Period of the Philippines and is considered a national hero. He was executed by the Spanish colonial government for the crime of rebellion after the Philippine Revolution on December 30, 1896. This resolution was requested to be brought to the City Council at the request of Mayor Pro Tem Jim Dear to honor the 125th Anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s martyrdom.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 21-176 “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, IN HONOR OF THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF DR. JOSE P. RIZAL”

At the request of Mayor Pro Tem Jim Dear, a resolution is being brought to the City Council in honor of the 125th Anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
