IV. BACKGROUND
The Carson Event Center hosts numerous events that serve individual and business clients. This requires that City staff provide excellent customer service and maintain an inviting event space. To best accomplish both of these, City staff has determined that the Community Services Division needs an additional level of leadership to coordinate facility operations and sales functions.
The City met & conferred with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union (AFSCME), Local 809, and agreed that the Senior Event Services Coordinator, Salary Range 705, ($6,789 - $8,654), will be assigned to the bargaining unit.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact from the proposed addition to the City’s classification plan, as all Phase II personnel actions and salary allocations were previously approved in the adopted Fiscal Year 2022-2023 by City Council on February 21, 2023.
