The City of Carson is responsible for maintaining 12 parks and 4 mini-parks. To ensure that these parks remain functional and visually appealing, the staff included Project No. 1388 in the development process of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The primary objective of this project was to install an electronic marquee sign that would help promote and increase community outreach by advertising City services, events, and programs.
The construction of the project has been completed satisfactorily, and the marquee has been installed for the City’s use to display and publicize information to the community. Staff is requesting the City Council to accept the project as complete and authorize them to proceed with filing the Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Office.
The CIP budget for this project amounts to $150,000.00 and is being funded by Quimby. The total amount spent on installing the new marquee at Veterans Park was $59,199.54, which leaves $90,800.46 available for future projects.

None. Funds for this project were included in the FY 23/24 CIP Special Revenue budget in the Park Development Fund Account 216-80-820-904-8008.
