CONSIDER APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 WITH DCMC, LLC TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT TO SEPTEMBER 20, 2024, TO ASSIST THE CITY WITH FEMA PROJECTS FOR COST RECOVERY INCURRED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC (CITY COUNCIL)

I.                     SUMMARY

The purpose of this staff report is to request Council to approve the extension of the contract services agreement with DCMC, LLC. The term of the contract extension, pursuant to the Amendment No. 1, is for an additional one-year term, which will expire September 20, 2024, with no additional compensation.

 

II.                     RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

TAKE the following actions:

1.                     APPROVE the Amendment No. 1 of the Agreement with DCMC, LLC to extend the Agreement to September 20, 2024.

2.                     AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 following approval as to form by the City Attorney.

TAKE another action as deemed appropriate by the City Council.

 

IV.                     BACKGROUND

On September 21, 2022, the City and DCMC, LLC entered into the Contract Agreement, whereby the Consultant agreed to provide advisory services related to the federal reimbursed costs incurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. The total contract sum is $24,900.00, with a one-year contract term expiring September 20, 2023.

 

The City and Consultant now desire to amend the Agreement to extend the contract term for one additional year, which will expire September 20, 2024. Pursuant to the Agreement, the City will continue to utilize the Consultant for advisory services with FEMA projects, cost recovery incurred during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

 

V.                     FISCAL IMPACT

No Fiscal Impact.

The remaining contract balance of $13,521.00 will be appropriated from the Continue Appropriation approved by Council on Sep 19th, 2023.
