I. SUMMARY
On March 19, 2024, under Item No. 22 of the City Council Agenda, the City Council voted 5-0 to introduce Ordinance No. 24-2406. This item transmits a request for City Council to conduct a Second Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 24-2406.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following action:
1. CONDUCT a Second Reading by title only and with full reading waived, and ADOPT, Ordinance No. Ordinance 24-2406, entitled “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS TO REQUIRE CONTRACTORS WORKING IN THE CITY TO DISCLOSE LABOR LAW VIOLATIONS WITHIN A CERTAIN TIME FRAME"

TAKE any other action the City Council deems appropriate that is consistent with the requirements of the law.
IV. BACKGROUND
At the March 19, 2024, Council Meeting, the City of Carson introduced Ordinance No. 24-2406, adding regulations to require contractors working in the City to disclose labor law violations within a certain time frame. The City Council voted 5-0 to introduce Ordinance No. 24-2406 for first reading.
V. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with the adoption of this Ordinance.
