CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 24-021 APPROVING A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARSON AND THE CARSON PROFESSIONALS AND SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION - SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 721 (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY
The City's negotiating team has met and conferred in good faith, as required by State law, with representatives of the Carson Professionals and Supervisors Association - Service Employees International Union, Local 721.
As a result of these meetings, a tentative agreement has been reached with the bargaining unit to amend the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) pursuant to Article XIII, Section 7 reopeners commitment. In accordance with Government Code Section 3505.1, the attached resolution comprises the ratified Tentative Agreement for an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and the Carson Professionals and Supervisors Association - Service Employees International Union, Local 721 for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
WAIVE further reading and ADOPT:
Resolution No. 24-021, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT FOR AN AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARSON AND THE CARSON PROFESSIONALS AND SUPERVISORS - SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 721, FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2021 TO JUNE 30, 2024."
