CONSIDER APPROVAL OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO OCEAN BLUE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES INC. FOR INVOICES FOR SERVICES RENDERED TO CLEAN UP AND DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CITYWIDE (CITY COUNCIL)

I. SUMMARY

As defined by Purchasing Ord. 17-1609, ? 2, "Purchases of materials, supplies, equipment and services totaling $25,000 or more from a single vendor during a fiscal year require the City Council approval." During fiscal year 2023-24, services from Ocean Blue Environmental Services Inc. (Ocean Blue) exceeded the $25,000 threshold and City Council approval is requested to proceed with payments of all outstanding invoices received to date from Ocean Blue.

II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation

TAKE the following actions:
1. WAIVE the contract requirements of the Carson Municipal Code ("CMC") pursuant to Carson Municipal Code 2605(b)(2)(ii); and
2. AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Department to issue a Purchase Order to Ocean Blue in the total amount of $37,883.96 to pay six (6) outstanding invoices received to date for FY 23/24.
