I. SUMMARY
On December 5, 2023, under item No. 37 of the City Council Agenda, the City Council voted 5-0 to introduce Ordinance No. 23-2309. This item transmits a request for City Council to conduct a Second Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 23-2309.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
TAKE the following actions:
CONDUCT a Second Reading and ADOPT Ordinance No. 23-2310, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, for first reading “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (PURCHASING SYSTEM) OF ARTICLE II (ADMINISTRATION) OF THE CARSON MUNICIPAL CODE AS A COMPREHENSIVE UPDATE”

TAKE another action as deemed appropriate by the City Council, consistent with the requirements of the law.
IV. BACKGROUND
At the December 5, 2023 Council Meeting, the City of Carson introduced Ordinance No. 23-2309 amending various sections of Chapter 6 (Purchasing System) of Article II (Administration) of the Carson Municipal Code.
