I. SUMMARY
This item transmits a request for the City Council to ratify the settlement agreement and mutual release (the “Settlement Agreement”) between the City of Carson and the Herbert E. Gleicke Trust.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
RATIFY the Settlement Agreement, attached as Exhibit 1.

TAKE another action the City Council deems appropriate and that is consistent with applicable laws.

V. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct fiscal impact to the City. Approval of this settlement will result in payment of $750,000.00 by the City’s pollution liability insurance carrier.
