I. SUMMARY
This item is on the agenda at the request of Mayor Davis-Holmes and requests the City Council to adopt Resolution 23-172, urging Congress to review the guidelines on U.S. Foreign Aid to the Philippines considering the Philippine government’s failure to remove illegal gates of Ong on public roads.
II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
1. ADOPT Resolution 23-172, “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, URGING CONGRESS TO REVIEW THE GUIDELINES ON U.S. FOREIGN AID TO THE PHILIPPINES IN LIGHT OF THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT’S FAILURE TO REMOVE ILLEGAL GATES OF ONG ON PUBLIC ROADS.”
2. DIRECT staff to send a copy of Resolution 23-172 to the office of Congresswoman Barragan.
