CONSIDER APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 FOR CONTRACT SERVICES WITH DEFENDIFY, INC. FOR CYBERSECURITY SECURITY SERVICES (CITY COUNCIL)

Body
I. SUMMARY

On May 31, 2022, the City entered into a 1 year contract with Defendify, Inc. for cybersecurity services. The City's contractual obligation has ended and we are looking to continue this very important security service for the City.
By this Amendment No. 1, the City and Defendify now desire to extend the term for an additional three (3) years effective retroactive to May 30, 2023, from May 31, 2023 through May 30, 2026; add additional licenses for compromised password scanning, phishing simulations, and awareness videos; and increase compensation by $74,731.95, for a new total not-to-exceed contract sum of $99,547.95.

II. RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation

TAKE the following actions:

1. APPROVE Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with Defendify, Inc. for cybersecurity services to extend the term for 3 years for an additional amount not to exceed $99,547.95.

2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the amendment after approval as to form by the City Attorney.

IV. BACKGROUND

On May 31, 2022, the City entered into a 1 year contract with Defendify, Inc. to assess their online cybersecurity services. The City's contractual obligation has ended and we are looking to continue this very important security service for the City. Defendify security services helps evaluate the City's cybersecurity posture, create strong security policies, scans for network vulnerabilities, alerts to cyber threats, produces detailed security reports, trains users, up-to-date on emerging threats, and reveals opportunities for security improvement.
